CAREER: Naya George began singing calypsoes in high school but, after receiving vocational school training in electrical wiring and carpentry, he went on to serve an apprenticeship at an oil company. He later quit his job to pursue a career as a calypsonian. He made his first recording in 1996, and formed the band Outrage with some of his friends in 1998. The band existed for one year, after which, he returned to life as an electrician while continuing to sing and record with his older brother, Iwer George, who had made a name for himself as an entertainer. Naya George later formed the band Invasion and went on to win the Road March title in 2002 with "Trinidad," which was composed by his brother Iwer George. His other calypsoes included:
