CAREER:                           Observer began singing in 1950s and appeared at the Young Brigade Tent in 1959 at the Waldorf Club, Park Street, Port-of-Spain. He became very active in the Calypsonian Association and served as its president in the 1960s. He sang at the Independence Brigade Tent in 1963 and at the Roving Tent in 1964. He sang at the Calypso Theatre from 1966 to 1967 before leaving Trinidad for Jamaica and, finally, the USA where he continued to perform. He appeared in the film "The Calypso Traveler" at the 1967 Expo in Montreal, Canada. In New York, he performed regularly with his group that included steelband players, a limbo dancer, and a fire-eater. He was a frequent guest on the Joe Franklin Show and on WLIB radio. In 1974, he sang in a Clairol Shampoo commercial that included Geoffrey Holder. In the late-1970s, he had his own Lord Observer Variety Show on New York cable television. His career was cut short after he suffered a stroke in 1994. His calypsoes include:
