Barbarossa was founded in 1988 by band-leader and designer Richard Afong. Its headquarters were established at 26 Taylor Street, Woodbrook, Port-of-Spain. Barbarossa won the Large Band-of-the-Year competition in 2002. The following is a listing of the Barbarossa's Carnival presentations:
