  • CAREER:                                     James developed a love for theatre while attending the Teachers' Training College. Upon his graduation, he founded the San Fernando Drama Guild where he directed several productions before accepting a British Council scholarship to study theatre production at the Oxford Playhouse in England. Although his British Council scholarship was for a period of four months, he received a government scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in 1961, and stayed in England for almost 13 years where he broadened his acting career on radio, television, stage, and film. He founded a folk choir which did the choral work for the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar." James returned to Trinidad in 1973 and became the drama producer at Trinidad & Tobago Television (TTT) where he created the following programs:

    • Play Your Cards Right
    • Hibiscus Club
    • Play of the Month (Series)
    • No Boundaries (Comic Soap Opera)
                                                            Jones was a successful actor, playwright, and television producer.
    AWARD:
    • 1971 - Trinidad & Tobago Humming Bird Medal Silver (for Drama)
    DIED: June 17, 2000, in Diego Martin, Trinidad, of heart failure.
