  • CAREER:                                 Nunez migrated to the USA after completing secondary schooling in Trinidad. She co-founded the National Black Writers Conference and directed the organization from 1986 to 2000. She later became a Distinguished Professor of English at the Medgar Evers College at the City University of New York. Nunez wrote the following books:

    • Stories from Blue Latitudes: Caribbean Women Writers at and Abroad (2005)

                                     In addition to writing, Nunez co-edited a collection of essays, "Defining Ourselves: Black Writers in the 90s," in 1999.
