  • CAREER:                                 Toussaint left Trinidad for New York, USA, with her family when she was ten years old. After graduating from Juilliard, she worked on the stages of New York before relocating to Los Angeles, California, where her career flourished. She became well-known for her appearance as Attorney Rene Jackson on the Lifetime cable television show "Any Day Now" for which she was nominated three times for the NAACP Image Award for Best Actress in A Drama Series. She also received a nomination from TV Guide for Favorite Actress in A Drama Series. Toussaint also appeared in the following films:
