CAREER:                                 Velasquez used his skill as a wire-bender to become famous for his "Fancy Sailor" presentations and went on to win the Small Band category from 1973 to 1976. The following is a listing of Velasquez's Carnival presentations:

  • 1973 - Trinidad and Tobago Humming Bird Medal Gold (for Carnival Development)
DIED: April 8, 2005, in Trinidad, after suffering a stroke
