CAREER:                                       Joseph captained the Trinidad & Tobago national team from 1963 to 1968, during which time the team made its first appearance in World Cup competition against Suriname in 1965. He led Maple to 28 trophies in 9 years as captain. His career included the following significant accomplishments:
  • 1966 World Cup Preliminaries
  • 1967 Central American and Caribbean Games - 3rd Place
AWARDS:
  • 1967 - Trinidad & Tobago Player of the Year
  • 1985 - Inducted into T&T's Sports Hall of Fame
  • 1987 - Trinidad & Tobago Hall of Fame
  • 2004 - FIFA Centennial Order of Merit Award
  • 2005 - Trinidad & Tobago Hummingbird Medal Gold (for Sport)
DIED: June 8, 2020, at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, Port of Spain, Trinidad, after a long struggle with kidney failure.
