Carnival 1980 - 1989

During this decade, the Band-of-the-Year awards for large bands were won by Raoul Garib (3), Wayne Berkeley (2), and Edmond Hart (2.5). Other winners were Zodiac Associates (1), Stephen Lee Heung (0.5), and Peter Minshall (1). Other bands during this period were Neville Aming, Barbarossa, Mack Copeland, Stephen Derek, Owen Hinds, Maverick, Irvin McWilliams, and Harold Saldenah. The following is a listing of the presentations of the winners of the Large Band-of-the-Year competition during the 1970s:
